Homelessness is a complex social problem that requires a multi-dimensional and coordinated approach to help end it. In Peel, homelessness services and programs are siloed, operating in a fragmented way. There is little coordination between service providers and the true scope of the homelessness problem is not well understood. PAEH advocates for systems change using a collective impact framework to establish a coordinated system of care approach to end homelessness in Peel.
By implementing a system of care approach, we aim to ensure availability of and access to a broad, flexible array of effective, evidence-informed, community-based services and supports, particularly for those experiencing chronic, or episodic homelessness. The PAEH facilitates cross-system collaboration, and its efforts are focused on our four work pillars.
